A Special Baby Is Born

Every new life is a unique gift from God and is something to celebrate. The most special baby was Jesus. His birth  was not only a baby's new life but also was the promise of a new life for us all. So celebrate Jesus' birth! After all, that occasion meant that the purchase of our salvation- through His life, death and resurrection - was not too far in the future.

Intentional Parenting Conference

Intentional Parenting Conference
Friday, January 10
6pm in the worship center

This event is for men and women with children or grandchildren of any age, those who work with children, and those who will be parents or grandparents in the future.

Over the years, Sissy Goff, David Thomas, and Melissa Trevathan have helped countless families through their ministry known as Daystar Counseling in Nashville, Tennessee. Due to the unique setup of Daystar, counseling focuses not only on the child, but the parent as well. Having both perspectives provides an opportunity to speak into some of the most common struggles that parents face in today’s fast-paced society.

Intentional Parenting is built around 12 chapters that each dispel some of the most common parenting myths. It also reminds all parents of truths that can empower them to be not only the parents that their children need without feeling guilty, but also be the individuals that God has called them to be.

Regardless of age, your children look to you to help them discover who they are. And you can only offer that to the degree that you know who you are. This book helps you discover first who you are and then leads you into a discovery of being more intentional, playful, consistent, merciful, and connected to your children.
